Hurricane Zeta Gallery

This gallery is the pictures that I took the first time I came to SE Louisiana to visit Angie, which was 2 or 3 months after Zeta hit. In these pictures is just how hard communities can be affected. What really got to me though was just how resilient, hard working, and helpful these folks are. I hope my pictures bring that through even though there aren’t any people in them. It takes a lot to see your home and/or business destroyed, and pull up your shrimp boots and get to work cleaning and repairing. Every time when you start working it’s without electricity (unless you have a generator), sometimes without water, yet it needs to be done, so you do it. That’s these folks here, and I’m proud to call the Bayou my new home.
